Obesity 

Obesity rates in America have been steadily increasing over the years which causes multiple health problems and your span of life to go down due to backgrounds regions and money. This is a problem worth researching how it can affect individuals and healthcare systems. Understanding the causes and consequences is important to address. obesity in America have nearly tripled since the 1970s as of recent data shows that 42% of adults are obese more in women than men due to their lifestyles. These people tend to suffer problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes, etc. Obesity is due to lifestyle in modern lifestyle. We have made advancements so everyone’s daily struggles are now easy and convenient such as I’m going out to get food, you can get food delivered to your doorstep. unhealthy diets is also a reason obesity is around, all the fast food due to the convenience. Fast food is just loaded with bad calories, bad fats and high in sugar. due to this.

it causes a lot of health problems, such as type two diabetes, which is when your body has too much insulin and this could cause severe problems. Education is also a huge role because no one is taught how to eat, and how important physical exercise is to prevent this thing called obesity, in conclusion, the increase of obesity in America has substantially rise and the only way to prevent this crisis is research know what you’re putting into your body physical exercises and just read about consequences that can be found due to obesity.

  1. Lisa Hughes: I agree that diet, exercise, and education play a significant role in obesity. I am a bit older and even in my childhood it was significantly less! It''s very true how the modern lifestyle contributes also. Our ancestors hunted and gathered. Should we try to get back to our roots a bit?

  2. I agree that obesity is a growing issue in the US and around the world. With the fast food industry growing larger everyday people are getting more and more takeout and junk food rather than spending time cooking and eating healthier.

  3. I think obesity is one of the most concerning health issues in the US. Another contributor that would be worth looking at is a lack of portion control. Fast food is generally terrible at this, where a single "serving" could contain well over 1000 calories, or the majority of the recommended daily caloric intake in a single meal.
